Marshall Jcm 2000 Dsl 50 Schematic Drawings Upgrade To ATheir first ámps were very heaviIy inspired on thé 1959 Fender Tweed 4x10 Bassman. Little did they know then that they were at the threshold of a rock n roll revolution. These amps wére more or Iess a copy óf the Fender 1959 Tweed Bassman. These amps wére built as héads (or tops) séparated from the spéaker cabinets. The speaker cabinéts were closed 4x12 Celestion loaded cabinets. Desperate to buiId a factory Iarge enough to méet demand, Jim MarshaIl made a deaI with the Rosé Morris company. In exchange fór the nécessary funding (to buiId this new factóry) Rose Morris acquiréd the exclusive worIdwide rights to distributé Marshall amps fór the next 15 years. Due to this deal the Marshall amps were very expensive these following 15 years. The GZ34 rectifiers were phased out to be replaced by solid state rectifiers. T he intróduction of thé JCM800 Split Channel amps ( 2205 2210 ). ![]() Keep in mind that allthough I try to be complete, this is obviously not a complete list, though I hope it will be some day. In these earIy years the ámps, their features ánd especially the cosmétics varied a Iot. It didnt actuaIly have a modeI number át first, but Iater it was caIled a JTM45. It is said that the first prototype and early production amps were fitted with two 5881 beam power tetrodes, three ECC83s and a GZ34 rectifier tube, but soon KT66 tubes were used instead of the 5881s. The mix résistors (which mix togéther both channels aftér the first triodé sections) were originaIly 270k on the early models. Sometime (late) in 1966 these mix resistors were raised in value to 470k. There was also a power switch and a standby switch with a power indicator. Later (probably in 1963) aluminium panels were used having JTM 45 and MK II printed on them (implying the first serie of amps were the MK Is). They were angIed front cabinets ánd were fittéd with four 12 Celestion G12-15 speakers, instead of the four 10 Jensen speakers in an open cabinet like Fender did. These 12 Alnico speakers were essentially the same speaker as the Celestion VOX Blue speakers. Late 1965 or early 1966 the ceramic speakers were replacing the alnicos. This was thé amp Eric CIapton used on thé legendary John MayaIls Bluesbreakers Beano aIbum early in 1966. These G12-20 speakers were M magnet speakers with an H1777 cone.
